Hey all! A big big big round of applause for those who were involved in the Teacher's Day Skit! Thanks for the time and effort you've put in. Although I may have been really fierce while directing, I hope you all understand that it's all for the benefit of you people. We've got really good feedback coming in. All of you were focused not just during the performance, but during each and every rehersal as well. Those who were in charge of their duties had done a really good job too. I believe all of you have put in your best but of course, we always have room for improvement. :) This goes out to all Dramarians- Always be confident of yourself and never think yourself as incompetent!
Okay that aside. As those of you who attended my briefing earlier on, you guys should know that Ronnie has been included in our committee. And another person which I forgot to mention, is Wei Liang! He would be assisting Ronnie to be in charge of the Sec2s.
As appointed leaders, I really wish that all of you take your appointment seriously and do your very first job well. Already told you guys during briefing so please keep in mind.

The timing will be from 2.30 to 5. Those that have lessons, please come as soon as possible. (: Venue would be at the Multi Purpose Room ( if there are any changes, we will inform you ) Please remember your lines really well and get all costumes and props ready by wednesday since we are having the full dress rehearsal with the school on thursday, 26/08/10 . Bringing you some of the very important announcements!
Next Drama practice will be on the 20th August, Friday. Only those names updated by Dayna in the previous post need to turn up (thanks Dayna). For the rest, thanks for being soooo patient. I assure you guys that all of you will have a chance to be auditioned and you will have your moment of glory. :) For those names that have been stated, make sure you come at 2pm sharp cause i've got ROUND2 of outdoor warm ups coming up for you guys! It's different from the 1st so do expect something freshhhh~ (quite high now cause I just came back from the YOGswimming finals.)

I know I super naggy. But please remember to submit/send the attendance list to me by Friday. And please type the Sec1's names under the SEC1 column on the right-hand-side of the Drama blog.

This is just a second reminder. Ronnie please send me the Teacher's Day script by Saturday. I wish to see it before 9pm. Team, please work with Ronnie in meeting up to practice for the performance and be ready by next Thursday. There is a Teacher's Day Rehersal on Thurs (26/8) and you guys would most probably have to turn up. So, please keep your Thursday free. :) All the best in providing a comical and meaningful performance for your very own teachers! Do come to me if you guys need help or inspiration.

Yesyes, my very helpful vice chairperson. I know you know what I wna say but I shall just type it here so you can use it as reference if you forget.
Do churn up a new radiobroadcast schedule for all of us by whenever you're comfortable with (but don't take your time). Please ensure that the Sec1s are being introduced to RBC (my new shortform for RadioBroadcast :D ) and all of them have an equal chance in learning from the seniors. Remember to put more experienced people with a sec2 understudy for Wed (25/8) as it would be a RBC dedicated to the teachers.
RADIOBROADCAST(RBC)
I guess many of you sec1s and even some sec2s have been wondering what exactly is RadioBroadcast about. Well, here's a really quick update about it.
RadioBroadcast is of course done by our very own Drama peers. We have broadcast sessions EVERY Wednesday and we go 'on-air' from 7am-7.20am.
All of us- 2 DJs, 1 Producer (Dayna), 1 understudy and the MR crew would assemble inside the General Office at 6.50am to get ready. We would be testing the micks, reading through our scripts and getting our songs ready.
Each team's script and songs should always be done by the Monday of that week you are on duty and sent to MdmChua for editing.
Basically, RadioBroadcast is just all about updating our school about events that happen internally and even externally. We use songs to 'divide' our sections.
With RadioBroadcast, you guys are even allowed to dedicate songs/verses/quotes to your own schoolmates or even teachers. Besides, you can conduct interviews with people out of Drama. But interviews should not take more than 1 section of your broadcast. You can even send birthday wishes or sing a birthday song for your friend.
BUT PLEASE BE REMINDED that all of you MUST get the permission of whoever you want to mention while you are on air.
HOWEVER, crude words are definitely not allowed and we encourage English and not Singlish. Songs should not include vulgar words or heavy metal. You have to be mindful of your tone while you are on air as well. No overly harsh tones.
Some Drama tips:
Always be loud and speak close to the mike.
Smile when you're speaking cause your voice would sound nicer and friendlier (i'm serious)
Speak slowly and naturally (with pace)

YT: It's only the second week of school, but since the prelims are approaching for the sec4s, and they're having their oral exams right now, we would like to share a few Bible verses to motivate you guys for the tedious semester up ahead.
Nana: Yes. Jeremiah 33:3 says ''Call to me.....'' So friends, if you guys are feeling down, stressed, or maybe tired, you can always call to God. God answers our prayers. :)
YT: Yes, that's true. My friend, Joel Loh told me that God is great when he saw that verse.
Nana: Hmm, I have another story to share with you guys. It's about Job! Well, if you have read the story about him, the Devil was jealous and had actually asked God for permission to test Job..... So, the Devil took away all of his possessions....
YT: Job was depressed....Later, Job had seven more sons.....
I believe that we should learn from him, no matter what circumstance we are in, we must believe that God will provide.

There is Drama for the other sec 1s next Wednesday (18th August). All of you should be here at 2pm SHARP as Miss Jean will be coming at that time and warmups will be conducted by her. If you guys need more focus or energizers, do come at 1.50pm if you have nothing on. But please make sure you have a proper lunch before coming. Stomachs are top priority. :)
